My works represent the everyday life of the temporary shops located around Santiniketan. I use in my works the materials used to construct or decorate the shops, such as plastic sheets. These cheap materials express a certain building culture, the temporary life of the shops, like transit-camps. Many of the shop owners do not have legal licenses; they have to change place either for political reason of for business purposes.
