I use photography as my primary medium of expression, tackling the subjects of abuse, existence, and sexuality.
From the beginning of my photography days, I’ve always had an interest in creating images that talk about black lives and the struggles they go through in their daily lives and use black bodies to tell black people’s stories. I see my work as a visual re-write of the existing and historical narrative of black bodies. As an artist, I am essentially interested in portraiture, I take self portraits and portraits of people that I know personally as a means of tapping into the different emotions I experience personally and around me.
