For a long time in history humans have marked their bodies with tattoos.
Tattooing has been practiced for millenniums in many cultures and spread throughout the world.
A tribe in Africa has a tradition of tattooing crocodile textures on the body of males reaching 18 years of age and then bathing in the salted sea water. If they can stand the pain of the experience that is a proof of their passage to being a man. They believe that the crocodile-like tattoos will help them fight with those reptiles which infest the area.
In recent times tattoos have evolved into a form of contemporary body art form.
My works are done with these thoughts. In my works the humans are men.
