Unfolding Matters

The series of drawings presented here are part of my genealogical

exploration of Tulamba, the city where I was born, in Punjab, Pakistan.

The intricate, repetitive lines, patterns and symbols are executed with

pen and ink on paper or on canvas, layer by layer, as in the surveying and

excavation of the historical layers of memories and meanings of the spaces explored.
