These photographs were taken on the streets of London, United Kingdom during 2019, when the government
was negotiating its withdrawal from the European Union. Being the most populous city in the EU,
London is a symbol of multiculturalism with over 40 percent of the population born overseas
and more than 300 languages spoken daily.
Shot during a period of uncertainty about the country’s future relationship to the rest
of the world, "London: North-South-East-West" reveals the origins of the capital’s citizens
and the identity of London itself.
