What always interests me is the process of an event ;sometimes even more than the event itself. The essence of coming
and anticipation
feels even more engaging, when you participate in
the preparation yourself. The scene depicts a
similar preparations of Ananda Mela, an annual
fair organised by students of Patha Bhavana; selling crafts
and food made by students and teachers, on the night of Mahalaya(the first day
of the festive fortnight ), before Puja vacations.
The details of the face are deliberately excluded, while
precise attention
was given to clothes, accessories, and gestures to bring out individual
character.
