A well-known talisman that is used in my country and Middle East in general is “Blue Eye”. Some people believe that this color has a protective power , as well as the “Open Palm” which is believed to work as a stop sign towards the malevolent acts. Thus I tried to work on many textiles from our cultures, a familiar face of a young girl wearing a Damascene cape , and above it all the traditional Ultramarine Talisman.
