This piece of work captures the experience an African artist encounters in the process of traveling, accessing opportunities
and showcasing their artistic creations outside their usual working space. This work sparked off great engagements with self
about identity, questioning myself on how identity can be captured in a small book and how accurate is it.
Going back to the cultural background, in Buganda (where i grew from) identity is expressed by
“reciting” your ancestral lineage which is known as “tambula nga omuganda”
